The inner cover is one of the more underrated hive components. It has to endure repeated prying and scraping so it's essential that it be well constructed and strong. We use no masonite, luann or other inferior materials in our covers.
Like our telescoping cover, this inner cover features a 3/8" plywood panel recessed, glued and nailed into the rim for strength and durability to stand up to years of service by even the most seasoned commercial beekeeper.
